reading from screen vs reading from paper

I not sure it's cognitive problem, feel free to downvote and close the topic, if it's not.

I wonder about interesting fact I've noticed. As a student I have to read a lot of different material in many correlated fields. In general, there are two options whether read from screen or read from paper.

I've noticed that reading from paper involves you in more concentrate reading, the comprehension is a much better, I can partially memorize the material rather than reading from screen. In addition, reading from screen is more tiring for me, for example, the useful practice when you tired reading from screen, print the paper and read hard copy, it is so much relief.

Are you familiar about this problem, are there any researches in the field?

Are there some techniques to improve reading from screen?
