For a neuroscience focused overview I enjoyed:

"Making up the Mind" by Chris Frith

For a psychology textbook ( I think this is used in undergraduate level):

"Psychology 2nd Edition" by Daniel L. Schacter, Daniel T. Gilbert, Daniel M. Wegner
