I do not quite understand why people use both centre cue as well as double cue in the ATN task.

For instance, some papers hold that Orienting = RT(double cue) - RT(spatial cue), whereas others define Orienting = RT(centre cue) - RT(spatial cue).

Would the above two definitions leads to different results in terms of neural activation or behavioural measures?
