When you are in a sleeping state ,i.e.lying in bed before your alarm clock rings, and you hear a noise or a voice that is not too loud and is not continuous but impulsive, and your brain immediately recognise it and remember it after you get up, does it mean: 1) that you were already half awaken? 2) that you were fully asleep but your brain was able to register it as if you were awaken?
