It's clear that neurons are involved in whatever memory. Suppose I see the image of a bird taking off over and over again.

The image becomes imprinted in my memory. So when I think about this offtaking bird the same process as seeing it take off makes me see the memory. Somehow the image of this offtaking is reviewed, like a stored video on my mobile phone. The method of pinning the data is very different though from the mechanism in my brain. In my brain connections between neuron dendrites get strengthened. And there are a lot of these connections.

But is every neuron dendrite connection with another neuron's dendrite only once used in the forming of memory or can it be used in different memories? The difference being the connection strendth?
