# Is the “Spend it All” psychology a known traits of human?

Whenever I have a paycheck or when I have a \$0 balance of a credit card with$8000 of limit, I found myself wanting to "spend some" or even "spend it all".

With the paycheck, at least it is better because I am spending the money that I have, but with credit card, it is worse because I can be spending money in the future and I could be paying the dream interest rate of 14.99% or 22.99% to people who would be ecstatic even when they can get 10% in their long term investments.

Is this "itch" a known psychology of human? How is it known in the academics? Maybe it is related to monkeys, primates that lived in caves some 100,000 years ago, and when they have a lot fruit or animal in their caves, their natural instinct is to eat it all?
