Buddhism seems to claim that with proper techniques (properly mindfulness), the self of the individual would be eradicated. An immediate result is that there would be no self-conscious emotion left.

How is that statement investigated in the framework of psychology? What is the state of the art of this topic?


The question that starting this: What is the view of Buddhism in correcting others' view in spite of their willingness to accept it?
