Music changes our mood, some music makes us sad, some other makes us happy etc... What I am asking is, Is it just a cultural thing or that some kind of music has the inherent property to affect our biological system and alter our mood to a particular state?

Consider this example, assume a random community of people who lives isolated and has no contact with outside people. Lets assume, someone from the outside world, goes there and plays some songs that we consider as Sad. Do they feel sad ?
