I'm looking for a term to describe the cognitive bias of people who count the origin of something into their evaluation. It's close to sunk cost fallacy and often to appeal to nature and etymology but this hyper term should include arguments like:

  • We were founded as a conservative political party and that certainly goes against fighting for same-sex marriage.
  • Originally, we were thinking we should do it like a hip-hop song, we have to stick to that.
  • Tell me - has our founder ever mentioned feminism?
