I know the YouTube video Brain-Dead Teen, Only Capable Of Rolling Eyes And Texting, To Be Euthanized was just a hoax. However, since they did a really good job of making so many people believe the story, they must have done the hard work of researching how to make it very difficult for people to derive a contradiction from the information in the story and the information they learned before. For example, the doctor in the video said she might say "Are you for real killing me right now," and showed a fake scan of her brain showing that only a tiny bit of her brain is still functioning. For those who didn't realize it was a hoax, a logical explanation might be that not only was so little of her brain still functioning but also her remaining functioning neuron cells started synchronizing in very large numbers so what was left of her brain was actually working in a very simple way so she could say something while she was really like a robot with no complex brain actions leading her to say that or any conscious awareness of any sort while she's saying that. I believe that can't actually happen because I think everybody's brain is destined to undergo sudden savant syndrome after enough time as described in this question.

  • Your question is really hard to read, it's a big wall of text and seems to have a lot of extraneous and unrelated stuff. If you want to ask about a particular credible claim you might be better off reformatting and asking at Skeptics.SE, but it sort of just sounds like you're asking "Could this thing that's a joke be a real thing" and that's not really a sensible question for a scientific stack. – Bryan Krause Dec 6 at 0:05
  • @BryanKrause I deleted the second paragraph. I don't think it's necessary. – Timothy Dec 6 at 0:09
  • @Timothy "Playing a joke on people" doesn't come from hard work and research, The capacity to play a joke on people comes from understanding and a sense of humour. Understanding comes from a meeting of intelligence and hard work. A sense of humour - well that's a mix of complex traits. What is your question, stating it in a dozen words or so would be just great. – Duckisaduckisaduck Dec 7 at 1:22
