There are studies that suggest that long term use of anticholinergics (ACs) may cause cognitive decline and dementia. And the short term effects of ACs on memory are known for sure.

Now, the question is, do first generation antihistamines have the same effects of tertiary antimuscarinics on cognitive performance on both long and short terms?
