What actually happens in our brain or mind when we see our own self in mirror?

How our brain responds to seeing ourselves in mirror? Are their any positive effects of this action towards our mind?

  • $\begingroup$ I think if you like what you look like, it would give some positive feeling to see yourself again :D but if you don't like your physicals u'd have feeling of imperfection $\endgroup$ – George Garchagudashvili Aug 5 '16 at 13:10
